A country garden and woodland with Torun
When I’m not away travelling I spend all my free time in my wonderful country garden. I can usually be found weeding the perennial borders or the kitchen plot or having a ‘fika’ somewhere in the garden. Sometimes I just take time to enjoy the beautiful view of the Storån valley, or brush the moss off the trees in my woodland. In our little paradise up on the ridge our cottage (from the 1890s) stands, with a barn, greenhouse, horses, dog and hens. My husband and I are really pleased to say that we are almost self sufficient during the summer. I’d love to welcome you here to have a garden and/or woodland walk with me. Maybe down to the waterfall where I can show you a fantastic area with a rich cultural heritage. If you’re interested I’m very happy to share my garden knowledge with you. There are many lovely conversations we can have. Naturally I’ll provide fika as well, in the garden or greenhouse.
Welcome to our home!
About Your Host, Torun
I’m a gardener who’s also an animal and nature lover. I get out as much as I possibly can in the countryside or my garden. Hiking is another passion of ours. We’re also great music lovers. We often travel just to listen to music, especially bluegrass and folk. We remember fondly our trip to Nashville and Savannah. We got to meet real Locals on that trip and those experiences provided some of our best memories. It’s that same experience of being able to meet a Local that I want to offer at home in my own country garden.
We’ll probably spend around two hours together in my garden and the surroundings, including refreshments.
Who this is for
Anyone interested in experiencing a traditional Swedish garden in a historic setting. It doesn’t matter if you are Swedish or from another country. It doesn’t make any difference either if you are a family, a couple, or arriving on your own. Everyone is welcome.
Hope to see you soon!

It was a rainy day but Torun was happy to show me her garden. Her garden was huge. There was a section which was quite wild and full of moss. I liked that section as it was very natural. The garden in front of the house was very well maintained and very beautiful. After showing me the garden, we went for a walk in the woods with the 2 dogs. The woods were full of moss and was lovely. There were also golden chanterelle mushrooms to pick. We had a nice fika after the walk. To me, it was such a magical place. Thank you for allowing me to visit! Teck Woon
