Rural experiences at Göta Kanal with Berit
A walk around the garden to pick some wild strawberries and enjoy flowers and butterflies. If you bring your camera, I have all the tips you need to get nice photos of insects and flowers. Enjoy a coffee with homemade cake in my farm house, without tripping over one of my mother’s beautiful home-weaved rugs. Perhaps you want to try weaving on the loom? Take a tour to the forest lake for a swim. The lake is very child-friendly and the water gets warm quickly. Perhaps we’ll pick some blueberries or mushrooms while we are there. Borrow a bike (one available with child’s seat) and whiz along the canal to the locks in Hajstorp, 2 kilometres away. Here you’ll find a high-quality handicraft exhibition, a nice café and you can see the locks in use during summer. You can also borrow a Canadian canoe and life jackets here and go paddling in the canal.
