Classic car culture with Ann in an Oldsmobile
Geocaching with a classic car:
Hang with us for some Geocaching (read more here: https://www.geocaching.com/play) in our wonderful nature around Billinge and Kinnekulle. In summer we can also take a ride in our little Oldsmobile and experience some authentic Swedish raggar culture (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raggare ). If we’re not after a geocache and it's summer we might go to a car meeting near the Göta Canal where we can see other cool cars and have some fika. Are you a dog lover? Then we already have a common interest and we will be happy to bring our dog, Madam, aka Ninja, who is big and mischievous but kind.
If you have smaller children with you, we can tailor the activity to them and can end the day with a game of Kubb. We are also on couchsurfing.com in case that is of interest.
Welcome to us!
Ann and Thomas
About Your Host, Ann
Happy retired nurse. I live with my husband and dog in a big house in the country.
When I get time over from my 9 grandchildren I love to travel and play board games.
We take out our Oldsmobile 65 Cabriolet in the summer and we really like to go to vintage car rallies. Among other things they arrange a sightseeing tour where you get around by car. A fun way to see the country with the roof down.
Who this is for

We live inbetween the cities Skövde and Mariestad. These two cities have excellent bus connections to us.

Tips from Locals
Ann’s three tips for experiences when you visit Skaraborg.
- Qvarnstensgruvan in Lugnås is an old millstone quarry, now a fantastically beautiful environment with interesting history and tours into the mine
- Lake Vänern’s largest island, Torsö, with a short ferry connection to the car-free island of Brommö. Where you can rent a bike and cycle around as well as wonderful swimming bays
- Lake Hornborgasjön is wonderful in all seasons but especially spring with the dancing cranes and walking trails blooming with goldenrod
