Explore the heart of Swedish nature with a four-legged friend and Lars

  • Offered in English, Swedish
  • Alingsås
Both dogs and humans need physical activity, preferably one that also stimulates the mind. Join me and Fanny on a walk in my home village, just north of Alingsås. Here you have the opportunity to walk straight out into Sweden’s beautiful nature and enjoy the moment, but also see and follow the footsteps of previous generations’ lives and accommodation. For example a complete furnished and preserved ”ryggåsstuga” cottage from the early parts of the 20th century. There is also the option to join larger dog groups. We meet regularly in various places in West Sweden, where you have the opportunity to meet more dogs and dog lovers. Sausage barbecue and/or coffee/snacks in nature during or after the walk is a perfect ending, and a small fee will apply in those cases. Transport to and from the start is to be arranged independently, but ride-sharing can usually be planned at larger meet-ups. Get in touch in that case!

About Your Host, Lars

I am a dog owner who combines the love of nature with a career in IT, a proud master to the brown Labrador Fanny, born in 2009. We are often out on activities, exhibitions and fairs to meet other dog lovers from around the country.

Who this is for

Anyone who wants to get out in nature, as long as we plan accordingly. We can go for smaller walks with children and/or prams and/or someone in a wheelchair. Or we can dress in good shoes and overalls and set out on long routes around villages, gravel roads, paths, forests and mosses. Everything from 30 minutes to a full day! Weather, winds and roads determine the suitable clothes and vice versa.

Weekends all year round, but also weekday evenings although the walks will not be as long. Especially beautiful times are spring wen nature is green and in bloom as well as the autumn fireworks of red colours on the trees.

The walk is free, but if you want coffee/snack/barbecue it will be 50 SEK/person. Larger meet-ups can sometimes see an additional fee or cost, but rarely more than 100–150 SEK.
