Göta Canal and Sjötorp with Alf as your guide
I can organise different kinds of bike tours which take us around Sjötorp and see everything it offers. We could even take a short trip to the woods of Surö Bokskog nature reserve. Everyone likes biking along the Göta Canal and watching the locks in action as well as seeing boats of different sizes. We can combine that with a detour to Blomstervägen, which passes through our beautiful woods.
Or
I can arrange for other desires you have, such as a bike trip from Sjötorp out to Torsö island and take the ferry out to car-free Brommö island with its incredible sandy beaches. The trip can be shortened if we drive out to Torsö. I am flexible!

About Your Host, Alf
I am 70 years-old and love doing long or short bike tours. Over the years I have done the Vätternrundan race as well as other bike races. Now I am an amateur cyclist and even have access to mountain bikes if that’s what you’re into. My wife and I live in Sjötorp, which we love for many reasons. I will show you how we live as well as show you the sloop Oskar II, which is managed by the association I am active in. I even participate and organise the Göta Kanalsimmet, an open water race, that both Sweden’s elite and athletes of all ages swim different distances in Göta Canal.

Where?
If you come in a car you drive on E 20 after Mariestad you go to the left 10 km and you find Sjötorp on the right side. I meet you in the center of Sjötorp.Welcome to Sjötorp.
Price
Depending on what bikes are rented, money for fika and lunch. If a car is used, it may cost a little more.

Alf showed us his surroundings during a 40km bike ride. We had a lot of fun with Alf. He is a sympathetic resident of Sjötorp and knows his way around. A visit to the nature reserve Sorü bokskog and the bike route along the coast was very impressive. Idyllic it became at the Göta Canal.
